How to get started on Blockchain?

To purchase any of our current range of Sustainable Action NFT's you will have to have a mobile, or desktop wallet compatible with the blockchain network! You will also have to move funds into the cryptocurrency market! We will be integrating a FIAT payment system in the near future!

Luckily, this is a rather simple process, there are some steps to take, however in doing so you will open yourself up to digital sovereignty and ownership (if you haven't already)

Step 1 - Part 1: Download and attach MetaMask to your browser!

MetaMask is one of the original wallets for the blockchain, you can easily hold assets, swap assets, and transfer blockchain assets. This will be the easiest way to store your Impact Badge and interact with the DuGut App!

You will need to create a password which is used every time you restart browser!

You will need to write down (on paper) the 12 word phrase that will allow you to gain access to your wallet if you lose access to the wallet for any reason (lost phone/computer, forgotten password, etc)

Please do this and come back for Step 2!

Step 1 - Part 2: Connect to the MATIC/POLYGON network from your MetaMask wallet!

a) Connect MetaMask to MATIC Custom RPC/Mapping Mainnet

You’ll need to configure the Matic Network custom RPC to your MetaMask. It’s pretty simple and straightforward, and it’s easy to switch back and forth between Layer 1 and Layer 2 using the button near the top of the MetaMask application.

• Click on the network selection button on the top of the app.

• Click on the “Custom RPC” to add the Matic mainnet information.

• Select “Custom RPC”.

After clicking “Custom RPC”, a screen will appear allowing you to set up the custom RPC for Matic Network.

Enter in the Matic mainnet details as follows:

Network Name: Matic Mainnet

New RPC URL: https://rpc-mainnet.matic.network

Chain ID: 137

Symbol: MATIC

Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.matic.network/

Be sure you don’t miss any of the above fields. Once you’ve added the details click on the “Save” button. You’ll then be connected to the Matic mainnet.

You can now close the dialog box.

Step 2: Purchase $MATIC or $USDC and transfer it to your MetaMask wallet!

There are many places you can purchase $MATIC, here is a list of all the exchanges you can get $MATIC from: https://polygon.technology/matic-token/

We recommend Coinbase, or Crypto.com as these are they most user friendly centralized exchanges and you can always open up accounts in others when you learn more about the blockchain industry!

After following your exchanges onboarding process and depositing money to purchase your $MATIC you can send it to your MetaMask wallet!

IMPORTANT IF YOU SEND ANOTHER TOKEN TO METAMASK IT MAY NOT BE ON THE MATIC/POLYGON CHAIN, MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE THIS OPTION WHEN SENDING MATIC!

To withdraw from your exchange, head to the wallet tab depending on which chain you are on, and hit withdraw.

Go to your MetaMask, and copy the address which will automatically go onto your clip board when you click the address located on the Red and Yellow indicated area in the image below:

Make sure that the network shows you are withdrawing to the Polygon/Matic network, and not another network like BEP-20 or ERC-20! If you send it to the wrong network, you may lose your funds! So be careful!

Step 3: Connect to our Website!

On the same browser you have the MetaMask extension wallet installed, go to our site : nft.dugut.app

On the site, click the Connect button shown in the image below:

MetaMask will open a connect window for you to accept, which will look like this sample from Rarible:

Step 4: Mint your NFT and check it out on OpenSea!

After you have connected your wallet you can mint your NFT, you can choose from 1 or more NFT's, and after you have minted them they will be available to view in Open Sea!

To mint your NFT select the amount of NFT's you wish to purchase with the + and - buttons. Once you have clicked Mint, a pop up will open Upon successful engagement with the smart contracts, your MetaMask wallet will open up a pop up, which is a confirmation for you to sign the purchase agreement, click confirm, and your NFT's will have been purchased!
