Where we are now!
DuGut has created a white label toolbox that allows brands to engage and bind this fast-growing and hard-to-reach group of conscious consumers in a compelling way that creates emotional loyalty. We call it the “Purpose Toolbox”. This toolbox contains a series of Socially and Environmentally Themed Web Apps that create a User Journey and can be integrated into a Brand's existing digital presence, controlled by a customizable Content Management System (CMS). With the CMS, brands can select and change content themselves including Themes, Levels, Badges, Polls, Games, Videos, Sharing on Social Media, and Sustainable Action Rewards. Brands can mix and match these themes and design their journey the way they see fit. This way, marketing communication can become specific and valuable, like helping people to rebuild their local communities.
Each of these campaigns allows a brand to stimulate and engage their users on social media to take action with them. We did this to enable an easy method for brands to take the first step using the DuGut platform, allowing them to curate their journey as they see fit, and integrate it as they desire into their current marketing mix. The flow of these campaigns is embedded into our Web Application Portal described below. Each campaign we run with a brand will be displayed on the portal for our users to take action with.

When it comes to our main target group, we designed our app with their preferred channels in mind. Today, the younger generations live online with a mobile device on them, allowing them access to information and entertainment, any time of the day. More important… Because of the Pandemic restrictions, it’s the only place where they can hang out right now. Gamification, or game thinking, is the future of society, and for Gen Z, gaming is replacing not just old games, but it’s replacing TV and Netflix. So instead of going to watch music videos on YouTube, they’re going to a concert in Roblox and that’s a social experience with friends… instead of going to the mall, now they are in Roblox. With 2020 behind us, we stepped into a new decade, and also a new era of Social Media is awaiting us. Social Networks today are infested by negative news and it’s turning away these younger generations massively. For these generations, spending more time on Social Media does harm to their general happiness. It’s for this reason we created a destination for them to feel good by doing good! The DuGut App is a hybrid app, combining a social network with a social game with a Massive Multiplayer Online Game (MMO) approach, rather than a traditional social network.
Important, however, is the approach to Social Media Marketing that will be necessary to further reach and satisfy prospects. The message must be relevant to these generations that have sustainability in mind. The DuGut platform makes use of engagement marketing in combination with gamification techniques. By making use of engagement marketing, the DuGut App brings the two interacting parties, Consumers and Brands in conversation, and by using “Real Sustainable Actions as a reward for brand engagement”, we can have DuGut users take Real-Life Actions, straight from a smartphone for free and everybody wins! After all… Doing Good feels Good!
